: (1) The Government of Nepal shall prepare an annual report of the communication archive work carried out in accordance with this paragraph and submit it to the Legislature-Parliament within thirty days of the end of each financial year.
(2) In addition to other things, the report according to sub-section (1) should contain the following details:
(a) the number of applications made before the competent authority for recording communications,
(b) the number of communications permitted and not permitted to be recorded,
(c) the number of orders given to record the instant communication and the number of orders accepted or rejected,
(d) the number of cases tried on the basis of recorded communication and the number of cases decided on the basis of evidence obtained from the communication records,
(e) Other necessary matters.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (2), if there is reasonable ground that the disclosure of any of the details mentioned in that sub-section may adversely affect the security of Nepal or the prevention and redressal of organized crime, the Government of Nepal shall disclose the reason for such disclosure and report in accordance with this section. can be submitted.
